Inspirational Concerts

Mr. Ashur's programs are part concert, part retreat and totally energizing. His concerts combine the best of Christian hymns with stories of faith, hope, and inspiration.  Anthony weaves his contemporary arrangements of traditional hymn tunes for piano with wonderfully uplifting stories. The music is from his six recordings, published by Mirror Morning Music; Mirror Morning, Simple Gifts, Blessed Assurance, Twas in the Moon of Wintertime, All Things Bright and Beautiful, and  In God We Trust. Some of the stories you may hear include:

*John Newton, the author of Amazing Grace; a slave trader turned Anglican minister.

*The hymn, with the words, "it is well with my soul,"  written by a man who lost four of his children in a tragic accident

*A woman dying of cancer who let her family know she was ready to let go  through the playing of a hymn.

*A man, who considered himself a failure all his life, who wrote one of the most enduring Christmas songs of all times.

Inspirational concerts can be custom designed for a particular theme, message, occasion or group. An Advent/Christmas version of the program is also available. They are perfect for retreats, special occasions, fundraising for mission projects, etc. These programs are a true testament to "faith in action."

Mr. Ashur is also a cancer survivor.  He can share his personal faith journey from his diagnosis through his treatments.
